Ehrlich Campaigns Secures Widespread Community Support for New Medical Center
San Carlos, Calif. -- Oct 8, 2007 --

Ehrlich Campaigns announced today that it has played an instrumental role in the Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF) recently receiving, by a unanimous 5-0 vote, approval from the San Carlos City Council for a new medical center.

Ehrlich Campaigns secured more than 5,000 signatures for PAMF from both residents and business owners who support the medical center.  In a city of 28,000 people, the firm secured support for the project from approximately one in five residents.

"I can say, with a great degree of confidence, that no group has ever garnered that sort of support for a civic project in San Carlos," said Ron Collins, former San Carlos Planning Commissioner.

Ehrlich added that the community's widespread support of the medical center informed the City Council's vote, as well as recommendations for the project's approval from the city's Planning Commission, Traffic and Circulation Commission and the Economic Development Advisory Commission.

PAMF is part of the Sutter Health family of not-for-profit hospitals and physician organizations that share resources and expertise to advance health care quality. Serving more than 100 communities in Northern California, Sutter Health is a regional leader in cardiac care as well as care of women and children, and is a pioneer in advanced patient safety technology.
